These giant beetles live in broadleaf forests in Japan, China, Taiwan, and the Korean Peninsula. Adult beetles look for wounds on trees, preferably oak, and feed on the flowing sap. They tend to congregate at good feeding spots, and males will use their horns to try and flip their opponents over and away. This beetle's peculiar form has made it a cultural icon in Japan.
With a total length of nearly 3 inches, this pin makes a huge statement with soft enamel details, a shiny epoxy coating, and double posts for extra security. Comes carded on our Bug Box kraft backer.
