Apheloria polychroma gets its common name from its characteristic odor, a result of the cyanide it secretes if threatened. Like other poisonous creatures, cherry millipedes are aposematic: they use bright colors to warn would-be predators. This species is noteworthy for coming in many different color morphs.
These dazzling pins measure 2.5 inches long and features hard enamel with UV printed detail. Double posted; comes on a Bug Box backer card with species name.
